MANDATORY DISCOUNT

Allstate Insurance is required by California Insurance law (Insurance Code Section 11628.3) to provide seniors 55 and older with a discount on their auto insurance for a period of three years after they complete a DMV Approved Mature Driver Improvement Course.

Mature Driver Discount Process

  • Register

    Drivers 55 and older register on www.maturedrivertuneup.com - They select either the Initial Course or the Renewal Course. They qualify to take the shorter Renewal Course if they have taken any Mature Driver Course within the past 4 years from us or another company.

  • Complete Course

    The customer listens to or reads the course and watches videos to earn their Mature Driver Improvement Certificate. (Initial Course 6.5 hours, Renewal Course 4-hours.

  • Receives Certificate

    The customer is emailed their California DMV Mature Driver Improvement Certificate within 3 business days. The agent is also emailed at the same time if the customer has purchased the optional Certificate emailed to Agent option for $1.50.

  • Agent Adds Discount To Policy

    The Agent receives the certificate and applies the discount to the driver's policy. The discount is good for three years after which, the customer can take the Renewal Course to continue their discount for another three years.
